In defense of those who may have sent some SP temporarily to the netherworld, how about we not assume that EVERYBODY trolled the forums like a bunch of us did for the last month+.
I don't think they should respec them either BUT, I kinda figured it went without saying. Its just amazing that this is the only forum community I have witnessed in years, jump quickly on a forum just to belittle someone who already feels like doo doo.
Then its also amazing how proud of yourselves you are for posting ''warnings'' about SP allocation when fact is, if there weren't going to be some OBVIOUS problems for people, there would have been no need for those warnings and such delusions of granger. I am trying to think of a CONSOLE game that expects its players to get 99.9% of their information and instruction via the game's forums. Especially when some of the most important information is only a week or two old. (Seperation of weapons/PC from Uprising 5/6 release.)
Now, I will say that the update did come with patch notes. People could have spent a little time reading those before they scrambled in haste to skill back to where they were or in haste to skill for a weapon that is not yet available. Still, no in-game manual, No real PSN announcements for the update, no pertinent information made available anywhere but blogs via the forums.
Some of these folks are just weak little toads. All of the things that I would say about these types would be located in this sentence but since I am refraining, one might imagine the types of offensive language it would contain.
Yes. people are ''big boys''. I guess, unless they are KIDS who might play VIDEO GAMES. CCP is a corporation in an international market......nuff said? NO. Because everytime the bottle-feds see an opportunity, the are quickly on CCP defensive. Well, we know what 'they' say about those who are quick go on the defensive, the defended and defensive are typically indefensible.
***Noticed in the patch notes that DUST is now RPG all-the-way. No mention of shooter anywhere. Its a nice bait and switch considering that the DUST 514 website plugged it as ''mmo shooter'' for however long. Oh well, little exploiter/glitcher/defend every possible shooter flaw/wimps, got what they wanted. ''NERF'' shooter.
Then they will set here and claim that its a hardcore game when in fact its not. They will claim that you have to use teamwork, have a proper corp battle, find some friends to play with, etc, etc. when in fact none of that changes anything, there is no real sence of team and objective. No more than is offered by anything else.
D&D....I mean RPG...says it all. |

Skihids wrote:The higher flight ceiling isn't broken. It's a means of escape and a way to hunt mountain snipers. All real world pilots use altitude to disengage and DUST is no different. It was the artificial hard ceiling that was broken.
It would only be broken if we could hit someone on the ground and they could not hit us (sort of like how high altitude bombers work). We still need to fly low to perform our mission so it's no different than a tank hiding behind a mountain or infantry hiding behind a wall. Neither can kill while they are hiding.
I'm finding that several people are claiming this game is hardcore, but, come nut cutting time, the folks with the cool toys are constantly running and hiding.
The pilot are one thing as you said, they should use altitude to disengage, but tanks? Where in the real world do tanks run and hide from each other, much less infantry?
- Where in the real world? I understand it is not the real world, but at the same time, if it were the real world, it would be more understandable to run and hide constantly......... If you weren't sworn to carry out orders and protect one-another.
Another arrow that points out selfish exploiters patting their kdr. SAME exploiters that claim the game is so hardore, etc. that are running and hiding.....in tanks. |

I agree with you there. Somebody called it blob warfare in the past. Its like line harvest, the most evenly balanced map in my opinion, is easily attacked or defended if people understand the basic 5 direction defensive and offensive postures/advances.
Yet time and time again you will see the majority of the mob bumrush the other side through the middle while allowing themselves to be flanked and/or surrounded in the fish bowl.
I agree people are to quick to abandon turrets. There are a few turrets in the OLD build that if they were manned and defended properly could control entire portions of the battlefield.
Military knowledge is one thing, but a lot of people appear to lack common sense. |
